Thanks to You, We Did It!

2024 Give Warmth — Give Hope Wrap-up

At Bay Cove Human Services, we recently wrapped up our end-of-year Give Warmth — Give Hope campaign to provide winter essential packages to over 600 individuals we serve. We also had a lofty goal of reaching $100k in total donations. Thanks to individuals in the community, corporate leadership and local foundations…we surpassed our goals, making this one of the most successful fundraising campaigns in Bay Cove history!

Alexis delivering winter essential care packages to unhoused folks in Cambridge, MA

It has been dangerously freezing outside this winter, and making sure people are safe in the elements is the most essential task we have, Without the generosity of Give Warmth - Give Hope, we could not provide such remarkable life-saving supplies to the most vulnerable population. I am so thankful for your kindness and aid in serving these individuals.

Let’s take a look at the numbers!

A few packages ready to go!

Total Volunteers:

  • 36 volunteers attended the packing party on Giving Tuesday 2024, filling over 600 packages (3,600 items). Volunteers from all walks of life gathered to assemble winter packages filled with essential items such as warm clothing, gloves, hats, boots and jackets. Each package was individually packed with care and consideration for those who need it most, ensuring that our neighbors facing the harsh New England winter will have the resources to stay warm and safe.

Total truckloads delivered around Boston and Greater Boston:

  •  2 days of U-Haul truckloads around the city, about 7 trips

Number of Bay Cove programs served:

  • 12 Bay Cove programs received essential items including the Weymouth Women's Shelter, Transitional Housing Programs, Cardinal Medeiros, Transitional Wellness Center, Cambridge Warming Center, First Step Street Outreach, CASPAR Emergency Shelter, Boston Night Center, Women Place, New Day, Highland and Summit.

Corporations and Foundations that led the way:

  • Corporate leadership played a vital role in helping Bay Cove achieve our fundraising goals by leveraging resources, networks, and expertise. Through strategic partnerships, corporate leaders provided financial contributions, in-kind donations, and access to broader audiences. Their influence helped build credibility and trust, encouraging other businesses and individuals to support the cause. A big thank you to Alnylam Pharma, Intellia, Amazon, M&T Bank, Bombas, CORE Investments, On the Dot, Cushman & Wakefield, National Grid, The Cowles Group, Elasta Jobs, Flour Bakery & Cafe and the Quin Foundation.
