Meet our Leadership

Kevin Martone President/CEO

Kevin has over 30 years’ experience in administering, designing, and operating services and supports for people living with mental illness, substance use disorder, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and those who are, or are at-risk of, becoming homeless. Kevin is a nationally recognized expert in behavioral health policy, integrated supportive housing for people with disabilities, and assessing the role of law enforcement in crisis response systems.

Prior to Bay Cove, Kevin was Executive Director at the Technical Assistance Collaborative (TAC), a national non-profit that provides consulting and technical assistance to federal, state, and local systems on best practices in behavioral health, Medicaid, and homelessness. Before TAC, he served as the mental health commissioner in New Jersey where he oversaw the state’s public mental health system. During that time, he spent several years on the board of the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors, including as president, where he represented the nation’s state mental health authorities in congress, federal and state agencies.

Earlier in his career, Kevin worked directly in community based services, including as Executive Director of a supportive housing agency. Kevin has taught classes at Tufts University School of Medicine and Rutgers University School of Social Work. He currently serves on the board for the National Association for Rural Mental Health and the Community Board of Advisors at the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health.
